Lyrics:

It’s all just faded memories of how things used to be

we were lying to ourselves pretending we were happy

I’m just reminiscing I’m not really missing you

its all just a blur I don’t remember her

she’s no longer there I no longer care

I’m just reminiscing I’m not really missing you

Explanation:

This song was written in the summer of 2018 by one of my close mates and I. The inspiration behind it was a break up that I was going through. This song is your typical love song that talks about heartbreak and the emotions that come with it and, of course, the long period of restoration that comes after. A clear example of that being portrayed in the lyrics of the song would be when the opening line says, “Its all just faded memories of how things used to be.” This verse describes how all that is left from the relationship that was once loving are memories of how that relationship was, and those memories are already starting to fade out as the restoration process commences. We can see this again with the line that says, ” I don’t remember her/ she’s no longer there I no longer care.” It describes how the restoration process is slowly deleting the past lover from my mind along with any emotions I once had for her.
